(Reselling.news) Brandalene ‘Brandy’ Horn of Freeland, Michigan was arrested for fraud that netted her $750,000 in profits on the reselling platform Poshmark.

The crime which spanned for years, consisted of Horn allegedly opening hundreds of accounts on luxury sites like Rent The Runway, renting the expensive clothes, then never returning them. Horn would then dispute the charges with her credit card or cancel her card entirely.

Brandalene ‘Brandy’ Horn would then list the stolen merchandise on Poshmark where she went by the handle ‘cashhorn.’ The alleged fraudster even boasted about her crimes on social media.

According to the New York Post: Investigators learned about Horn’s alleged scheme after placing several orders from her and finding residue on the tags, which is suspected to be from where she had removed the heat-sensitive tag that allowed the companies to track the clothes.

Horn allegedly sold 1,063 stolen items between April 2022 and February 2024.

She was charged with one count of mail fraud, one count of wire fraud and one count of interstate transportation of stolen property, and faces 50 years in prison, if convicted.
