Fear of God Issuing Counterfeit eBay VERO Claims?

Is Fear of God issuing counterfeit eBay VERO claims?

According to reselling TikToker Aylinflips eBay sent her a VERO complaint via Fear of God claiming the item wasn’t authentic and the item was removed.

If you are unfamiliar with eBay’s VERO program here is a short excerpt from their website:

The Verified Rights Owner (VERO) Program allows owners of intellectual property (IP) rights and their authorized representatives to report eBay listings that may infringe on those rights. VeRO embodies our commitment to providing a safe place to buy and sell, which respects property owners’ rights.

What makes this situation so perplexing is that AylinFlips responded to the VERO takedown request with a proof of purchase.

And guess what happened?

Absolutely nothing.

Crickets.

Is the VERO program being abused by companies looking to protect their bottom line?

This incident raises serious questions about the integrity of eBay’s VERO system.
